A DAY CAMPAIGN :-STOP THE LITTERS AND SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT held in Lagos State 17th November 2011 and in Delta State 5th of Jan 2012 respectively.

Climate change is one of the issues in our time with widespread implications on the earth’s  ecosystem being spearheaded by West African Women Association the local populace in the open market towards environmental hazards and a better approach to cleanliness capped “ STOP THE LITTERS AND SAVE THE ENVIRONMENT” and also an enhancement programme on Carbon Credit. From the exacerbation of poverty to the breakdown of infrastructure, to the loss of environmental, political, economical and social security, the impacts of Climate change are extensive. Climate change is already affecting many places and communities in Africa. The continent is experiencing more droughts in dry areas and increased rainfall and flooding in areas that are usually better. It is heart –warming that our women from notable organizations; Women Care Association of Nigeria  (WOCAN), National Council of Women Societies(NCWS), Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Ministry of Environment- Special Unit South West Zone from the crucial force as part of the campaigns being spear-headed by West African Women Association to sensitize the local populace in the open market towards environmental hazard better approach to cleanliness capped –‘Stop the litters!  ‘Save the Environment! And also an  enhancement programme on Carbon Credit advocacy support campaign demonstration on use of  BIO-FUEL STOVE towards poReduction
